Palmetto Boxing Trio Win
Titanium Glove (JUNE 14)Palmetto Boxing would like to congratulate Team Palmetto for winning three Titanium Glove Belts at the 2008 Titanium Gloves Championship in Summerville South Carolina. [Photo Gallery and Flash Photo Slideshow] Angel Gladney, Timothy Hunter Jr. and DeAndre Robinson-Neal won the three month tournament by scoring more points than everyone in their respective weight classes. The win is just another accolade to be added to the many accomplishments of the young athletes. Timothy was also named the 2008 South Carolina Silver Gloves Boxer of the Year. DeAndre won the 2008 State & Regional Junior Olympic Titles and Angel has captured the Titanium Gloves Title for the second year in a row. We would be remised if we didn’t give a special thanks to our wonderful and dedicated Coaches that prepare these kids mentally physically on a day to day basis to compete against the best amateur athletes in the United States. They rarely get recognized for their efforts. They volunteer their time, gas, energy and money to make sure these kids and young adults have an outlet from the day to day turmoil of society. We would like to recognize Coach Dominic Robinson-Neal and Coach Timothy Hunter Sr. and thank you for all you do. A special thanks is also in order to Mr. Billy Stanick for all he does in support of the South Carolina USA Amateur Boxing Program. |
