Boxing would not be successful in South Carolina. With your
support we have now put on 15 Amateur Shows and (2) Professional
shows at the Stanick Gym in White Rock. Billy Stanick and his
Boxing Sponsors finance this program. With all of our fans
support, White Rock has
produced – 4 State Silver Glove Champions and 2 State
Golden Glove Champions. One Golden Glove Champion has
turned Pro and is managed by Billy Stanick and is now 7
Wins and 0 Losses. His name is
Moultrie Witherspoon.

Saturday night at White Rock Gym was at its full capacity with over 350 fight fans sitting and standing along the walls and literally outside to watch the live action in the ring. Cars and trucks filled the parking lot and the road sides along Hwy 76. It was apparent to every passerby that there was something exciting going on in White Rock, SC. At 8:30 pm ring announcer Sean Fink got the evening going with the introduction of a local musical artist Henry Flowers. Full Story

29) You’ve heard the old saying “be careful what you ask
for ‘cause you just might get it”? Well, Donna “Nature
Girl” Biggers with a current record of 14-2-1 (13 KO’s)
finally had a fight that went the distance. And, I’m not
speaking of Beijing being the distance. Donna’s been
patiently waiting for a bout that would allow her get
some real rounds and experience. The “Nature Girl” and
“The Knockout” weighed in at 133lbs ready to fight. Mia
St. John is one tough fighter who has only lost 5 times
in her career and has 42 wins. Mia is ranked #2 in the
world by most of the boxing organizations. Boxrec has
her at #12 and Donna ranked #16.

Latest Update on South Carolina’s Jeremy Bryan! (MAY 20) Jeremy Bryan, 141, of Sumter, South Carolina, is competing in the 2005 National Golden Gloves in Little Rock, Arkansas. The event is being held at the Statehouse Convention Center. Bryan, the second reigning champion to box in Wednesday, fought Freddy Sanchez, of Worcester, Mass. According to USA Boxing, Bryan stayed on track for a second straight title with a unanimous decision over Sanchez. Bryan also defeated Ira Frank, by unanimous decision, on Monday, May 16, and in the quarter final bouts, held on Thursday, May 19, Bryan has defeated Earl Cole, by unanimous Decision.
(JUNE 22) There was a full house Saturday night June 18, 2005 at White Rock Boxing Gym for the Summer Explosion professional boxing event. Before the bouts began local vocalist Henry Flowers brought the house down with an acapello version of the National Anthem. We were excited and proud to have two special guests of such caliber come hang out with us at the Summer Explosion. Senator Jake Knotts and Lt. Governor Andrč Bauer were introduced in the ring, and of course there were no blows thrown; only friendly hello’s and waves. Full Story

Witherspoon's Bio added to WRB! Little Rock to Host 2005 National Golden Gloves (MAR 22) LITTLE ROCK — Little Rock will be hosting the 2005 National Golden Gloves boxing tournament. It will be held May 15-21, 2005, at the Statehouse Convention Center.
